Iran automotive market sees significant price hikes for electric and imported models
The Iranian automotive market is experiencing substantial price increases across various segments. Modiran Khodro announced a new price for the electric Phonyx FX crossover, which rose by approximately 2.09 billion tomans to reach 6.8 billion tomans, a 44.4 percent increase.
In the imported vehicle sector, Aftab Khodro reported a 63 percent price hike for the 2025 Mazda CX-30, with the price rising from 6.49 billion tomans to 10.6 billion tomans. Meanwhile, the domestic market shows mixed trends; while some models like the Soren Plus dual-fuel saw increases, others such as the Peugeot 207 Automatic and Saina S experienced price drops.
These fluctuations occur amid economic uncertainty and reports of declining production levels for major domestic manufacturers. Data indicates production decreases of 23 percent for Iran Khodro, 43 percent for Saipa, and 60 percent for Pars Khodro during the first half of the year, attributed to supply chain challenges and rising input costs.
