Current market prices for vehicles produced by Iran Khodro and Saipa have been released. Saipa's offerings, including the Saina, Atlas, and Shahin, also show distinct market pricing. Meanwhile, analysts highlight systemic issues within the Iranian automotive sector, specifically regarding the car quota system. Policies intended to support families and population growth have reportedly led to unintended consequences, such as the creation of a black market.

Experts suggest that mandatory sales quotas—where a large portion of production is reserved for specific social programs—have allowed intermediaries to profit from the gap between factory and market prices. This has resulted in rent-seeking behavior, where many intended beneficiaries sell their purchase rights to speculators rather than using the vehicles themselves.
