Iran Central Bank Publishes August 2-3 Exchange Rates

The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) released its official foreign‑currency exchange rates for August 2 and August 3. On August 2 the official rate was 1,480,445 rials per US $1 and 1,707,316 rials per euro; on August 3 the rates rose to 1,487,630 rials per US $1 and 1,714,968 rials per euro. In both updates 45 currencies gained value against the rial while one currency fell. The CBI also quoted SANA system rates—1,533,375 rials per US $1 and 1,768,357 rials per euro on August 2, and 1,536,160 rials per US $1 and 1,770,914 rials per euro on August 3. Black‑market prices were reported around 1.93‑1.96 million rials per US $1 and 2.20‑2.26 million rials per euro.
