Iran's Revolutionary Guard attacks US bases and Amazon data center in Bahrain

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a series of missile and drone strikes against U.S. military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. In the operation the Guard said it destroyed a Patriot air‑defence system in Al Rifa, Kuwait, and an early‑warning radar at the Ali al‑Salam base in Kuwait. It also claimed to have hit a U.S. radar system in the Mahkameh area of Bahrain.

The IRGC reported that the attacks extended to civilian infrastructure, stating that “the central data infrastructure of the American company Amazon in Bahrain was destroyed” with cruise missiles. Tehran’s president has meanwhile declared that Iran is now in a “total war” following a ninth night of U.S. bombings on Iranian targets, including the Darkhovin nuclear site. The escalation is accompanied by rhetoric from Iranian officials warning Kuwait and other Gulf states they must not serve as safe havens for U.S. forces.

The United States responded with further air strikes aimed at degrading Iran’s missile‑launch capabilities and warned of additional retaliation. The exchange marks a sharp intensification of hostilities across the Gulf region.
