Iran Claims US Death Toll Tops 200 Amid Ongoing Hostilities
Iranian Revolutionary Guard spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi told Tasnim news agency that more than 200 American service members have been killed in the renewed clashes with the United States, with the number of wounded far higher. He said Iranian forces struck eight U.S. troop‑deployment centers and destroyed 20 shelters in the attacks.
Mohebbi also asserted that Iran has blinded U.S. defenses by destroying a large array of American radar installations, including three Patriot radars, three air‑maritime surveillance radars and several early‑warning systems, allowing Iranian missiles and drones to hit their targets with ease.
The statements come after the United States resumed daily attacks in July, following a cease‑fire declared on 8 April and a Pakistan‑brokered Memorandum of Understanding signed on 17 June that Tehran says Washington has violated. The U.S. has reportedly continued aerial strikes for 13 consecutive nights, targeting sites that Iran describes as civilian.
