Iran focuses on BRICS economic ties and Strait of Hormuz security

Parliamentary members highlighted the need for Iran to strengthen economic ties with the East, specifically through BRICS and partnerships with Russia and China. Discussions focused on mitigating the impact of sanctions and maritime blockades by utilizing national currencies or barter mechanisms within the BRICS framework. Strengthening corridors and long-term economic contracts is viewed as a strategic necessity to ensure the import of essential goods and bolster national interests.
