Iran Foreign Minister Arakchi Defends JCPOA, Blames Israel for Deal Setbacks

Iran’s foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Arakchi, told journalist Javad Moghoui that the international community views Israel as the primary loser of the nuclear agreement, and that Iran’s own internal dynamics have shaped the deal’s outcome. He argued that the lack of a national consensus and public outreach has limited the agreement’s strength.

Arakchi described a difficult negotiation path, citing numerous reports, minutes and directives from Iran’s leadership that guided the process. He emphasized that no external pressure was imposed on Iran, and that internal disagreements and heated public sentiment were managed through guidance from the supreme leader and senior security councils.
