Iran honors Ministry of Health and forensic medicine families at Shahid Rajaee Festival
At the closing ceremony of the 21st Shahid Rajaee Festival, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian honored outstanding executive bodies and the families of martyrs. During the event, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education received the ‘Yavar Fath’ award for its service and resilience during recent conflicts, as well as a top ranking in the ‘Explaining Efforts’ category for its public communication and performance transparency.
Minister of Health Mohammad Reza Zarfandi accepted the awards, noting that the health system treated over 66,000 injured individuals during recent incidents. He attributed the damage to medical infrastructure, including over 300 ambulances, to external aggression.
In a separate gathering in Mazandaran, officials honored the families of employees from the Forensic Medicine Organization. Behrouz Hasani, Director General of Martyrs' Affairs for the Judiciary, described the work of forensic experts as a vital and exhausting struggle to uncover truths in complex cases. He noted that 5,925 children of martyrs are currently active within the judicial system.
