Iran inaugurates student sports infrastructure projects in Fars and Behbahan

In celebration of Physical Education Week, several new sports infrastructure projects for students have been inaugurated across Iran, specifically in Fars Province and Behbahan.

In Behbahan, two facilities were opened under the ‘Empathy Square’ initiative. These include an outdoor flooring area at the Fatemeh al-Zahra boarding school, costing over 800 million tomans, and an artificial turf pitch at Shahid Javanmardi High School, valued at 1.2 billion tomans. Funding for these projects was provided through ministerial budgets and public participation.

In Fars Province, 33 student sports projects worth 2 trillion tomans were launched simultaneously. The inauguration included the opening of the province's first student tartan running and track. Fars Governor Hossein-Ali Amiri attended the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of balanced development across the province and the role of physical education in fostering social vitality and discipline.
