Iran sports infrastructure and education initiatives

Overview

During Physical Education Week, Iran initiated several large-scale sports infrastructure and talent identification programs. Nationally, the Ministry of Education launched an in-school sports olympiad targeting 6 million students to identify national team talent, alongside a plan to increase per capita school sports space.

Regional developments included the inauguration of 19 sports projects in Khuzestan province, such as sports halls and turf pitches.
