Iran Intelligence Dismantles Four Terrorist Cells, Arrests 15 Suspects in Sistan-Baluchestan

Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence announced that its intelligence department in Sistan and Baluchestan Province has dismantled four operational cells linked to a terrorist takfiri group. The operation, carried out in the cities of Zahedan, Chabahar, Iranshahr, Khash, Taftan, Nikshahr and Qasr‑e‑Qand, led to the arrest of 15 key members and the seizure of several Kalashnikov rifles and ammunition. Authorities said the suspects were planning sabotage attacks on economic, public‑service, judicial and other critical infrastructure in the province. The ministry noted that four additional terrorist teams had been neutralised earlier in July, resulting in two deaths and ten arrests. Investigations are ongoing to determine the broader network and any domestic connections.
