Iran issues heat wave warning for Tehran and storm alert for Fars province

The Iranian Meteorological Organization has issued a yellow alert for a persistent heat wave over Tehran, forecasting temperatures up to three degrees Celsius higher than normal, strong winds and occasional dust. Officials advise residents, especially the elderly and children, to limit outdoor exposure, stay hydrated and protect equipment from heat.

Separately, the Fars provincial weather agency warned of a summer seasonal rain system that will bring thunderstorms, heavy rain, strong gusts and possible hail across southern, eastern and central parts of the province. The forecast highlights risks of slippery roads, flash flooding and lightning strikes, urging citizens to avoid riverbanks and secure temporary structures.
