Iran issues weather warnings for heat and strong winds
The Iran Meteorological Organization has issued warnings for 25 provinces regarding strong winds, dust storms, and extreme heat. High temperatures are expected to persist, particularly in the southern and southwestern regions. Ahvaz is projected to reach temperatures near 50 degrees Celsius, while Tehran is expected to see highs around 39 degrees Celsius.
Increased pressure gradients are expected to intensify winds in central, eastern, and southeastern parts of the country, potentially reducing visibility and affecting road travel. In Tehran province, officials have warned of strong winds and dust in southern and western areas, along with potential thunderstorms and scattered showers in mountainous regions. Authorities have advised citizens to conserve water and electricity during this period of sustained heat.
