Iran issues yellow weather alerts for Tehran, Mazandaran, and Caspian Sea

Multiple yellow weather alerts have been issued across various regions of Iran, forecasting unstable atmospheric conditions and high winds.

In Tehran, the Meteorological Organization has issued a yellow alert for strong winds affecting central, western, and southern areas. The forecast includes potential dust storms, reduced visibility, and decreased air quality. Authorities have warned of risks such as falling objects from heights and damage to temporary structures like scaffolding and billboards. Residents are advised to avoid high altitudes and use masks in dusty areas.

In Mazandaran, the Crisis Management Organization warned of unstable weather from Saturday afternoon through Sunday, including rain showers, thunderstorms, lightning, and potential hail. Risks include rising river levels, flooding, slippery roads, and rockfalls in mountainous areas. Citizens are urged to avoid staying near riverbeds and to refrain from mountaineering in high-risk zones.

Additionally, a maritime yellow alert has been issued for the Caspian Sea. Wind speeds are expected to reach 20 to 24 knots with wave heights between 1 and 1.5 meters. This affects the coastal areas of Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan provinces. Warnings have been issued regarding drowning risks, damage to fishing nets and aquaculture cages, and disruptions to small vessel and recreational activities.
