Iran Mercantile Exchange reports high precious metal and industrial commodity activity
The Iran Mercantile Exchange has reported significant activity across its industrial, mineral, and precious metal sectors. In the precious metals market, gold and silver funds reached a combined trading value exceeding 79 trillion tomans for the week ending September 18. Gold funds recorded a turnover of 71.4 trillion tomans, while silver funds accounted for 7.6 trillion tomans.
In the precious metals segment, physical trades and deposit certificates for silver involved over five million certificates, valued at 2,582 billion tomans. Gold deposit certificates saw 4.5 million certificates traded, equivalent to 452 kilograms of gold, with a value of 14,072 billion tomans.
Regarding industrial and mineral supplies scheduled for September 20, 2026, several aluminum and zinc offerings are listed. Aluminum Iran and Almahdi Aluminum are set to supply various grades of aluminum ingots. Additionally, multiple companies, including Calcimene, Iran Mineral Processing, National Lead and Zinc of Iran, Bafq Zinc Smelter, and Isfahan Zinc Smelter, have scheduled offerings for zinc ingots.
