Iran military warns of new weapons and claims U.S. base damage
Iranian military officials have issued warnings regarding regional stability and the development of new defense capabilities. Hossein Mohebbi, spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that Iran is continuously designing and mass-producing new weaponry to defend against evolving conflict scenarios. He noted that Iran is prepared for various hostile actions, including economic pressure and border provocations.
Separately, Iranian Army spokesman Brigadier General Amir Akrami-Nia claimed that United States military bases in the region have sustained severe, irreparable damage during recent conflicts. Akrami-Nia asserted that these damages have created significant logistical challenges for U.S. forces, specifically citing the U.S. Fifth Fleet facility in Bahrain. He suggested that the U.S. has been forced to source supplies from outside the region, such as East Asia and Diego Garcia, to compensate for these vulnerabilities.
