Iran Ministry of Sport and Youth announces marriage loan updates
Bahman Abdi, Director General of Development and Planning for the Youth Deputy at the Ministry of Sport and Youth, has outlined new measures regarding marriage loans in Iran. Following discussions with the Budget Commission and the Central Bank, officials have committed to clearing outstanding loan claims from the previous year.
While efforts were made to increase the loan amounts, the current amount will remain unchanged due to banking capacity concerns and the high volume of applicants, which currently exceeds 500,000 people. To address delays, a commitment has been made that the processing time for new marriage loans should not exceed three months in the coming year.
Additionally, 270 trillion tomans have been allocated to banks to fund these loans. Local governors are also working with provincial bank coordination councils to eliminate loan backlogs in various provinces by this autumn.
