Iran officials claim US regional security reliance is a strategic mistake

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during the 40th International Islamic Unity Conference that regional countries have realized that relying on the United States for security is a 'strategic mistake.' He argued that US security doctrines have failed and that American bases in the region serve primarily to support Israel rather than providing actual security for neighboring nations.

Araghchi claimed that despite attempts by enemies to undermine Iran's social cohesion through terrorism and efforts to dismantle its missile capabilities, the country remained resilient. He asserted that the failure of military efforts by the US and its allies has forced them toward negotiation.

In a separate address, Ayatollah Nasir Hosseini, the Friday Prayer Imam of Yasuj, emphasized that following military setbacks, the United States has shifted its focus toward economic warfare and maximum pressure. He urged the nation to maintain readiness for all potential scenarios, including economic challenges and various enemy tactics.
