Iran public sector working hours to remain unchanged until September 6
The current summer working hours for executive agencies, banks, municipalities, and other public institutions in Iran are set to remain from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM until September 6 (15 Shahrivar). This schedule was implemented on May 16 (26 Ordibehesht) following a cabinet resolution aimed at managing energy consumption and maintaining the stability of the national electricity grid.
The head of the Administrative and Employment Organization stated that no changes will occur until September 6. Any decisions regarding the schedule after this date will be announced one or two days in advance. This seasonal adjustment is a recurring strategy used to reduce peak electricity demand during hot months, which has previously helped reduce peak loads by approximately 850 megawatts.
