Iran records 127 executions and over 800 arrests in June, NGO reports

A U.S.-based human‑rights organization documented a sharp rise in punitive actions by Iranian authorities during June. The group reported 127 executions, 809 arbitrary arrests linked to freedom of expression, 766 lashings, 12 femicides and several other severe punishments, including property confiscations and long prison terms.

The organization warned that many of the death‑penalty cases lacked fair judicial procedures and called for an urgent response from both Iranian officials and the international community to address the escalating violations of human‑rights standards in Iran.
