Iran Rejects Agreements Amid U.S. Threats and Claims Military Superiority

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps said Tehran will not sign any agreement while U.S. military threats continue, delaying talks with Oman on mechanisms to ensure safe ship transit through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian foreign ministry noted technical and political progress in the negotiations but stressed that no definitive deal will be reached until the United States ceases its interference.

In a separate statement, Iran's interim defence minister Majid Ibn al Reza declared that the country's armed forces, backed by its defence industry, possess technology that surpasses any regional system. IRGC ground forces commander Mohammad Karami echoed the message, saying Iran is prepared to deliver a decisive response to any foreign threat, citing superior intelligence, operational readiness, and modern science.

Both remarks reflect Tehran's broader strategy of leveraging diplomatic negotiations and military confidence to counter perceived U.S. pressure in a region critical for global oil shipments.
