Iran reports rising casualties from US strikes since late June
Iran's Ministry of Health said the death toll from recent U.S. air strikes has risen to 59, with 666 people injured. The latest figures include six women and three children among the dead and 46 women and 24 children among the wounded. Earlier data released on July 23 listed 55 fatalities and 629 injuries.
The attacks began on 27 June, intensified after the United States resumed strikes on 6 July, and were renewed following President Trump’s declaration on 8 July that a cease‑fire had ended. Tehran has responded with missile and drone attacks on facilities it says are linked to Washington in the region. The casualty reports highlight a growing humanitarian impact as the exchange of fire continues.
