Iran reports various human rights and social developments
Various reports highlight human rights and social issues across Iran. In Zahedan, four citizens were sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison for charges including the intentional destruction of public and state property. In Mashhad, 21-year-old Zahra Mousavi received a sentence of 10 years and 6 months for charges related to disrupting national security and public order, though a portion of the sentence is suspended.
In Ahvaz, an execution was carried out against a 28-year-old prisoner, Yousef Bavi, following a murder conviction. Meanwhile, in Marivan, five residents of Sardoush village were detained by intelligence officers, with reports noting they have been deprived of access to legal counsel and communication with their families.
On a social level, authorities in North Khorasan province identified at least 1,304 children who have fallen out of the education system. Factors cited for these dropouts include migration, serious illness, and lack of proper guardianship.
