Iran sees protests by retirees and teachers across multiple cities

Various protest gatherings have taken place across Iran. In Tehran, retirees from the cultural, telecommunications, and social security sectors demonstrated to demand improvements to their livelihoods and medical care. Additionally, teachers in Tehran held protests regarding wage increases, inflation-adjusted salaries, and the implementation of teacher ranking systems. Other social security retirees held demonstrations in cities including Ahvaz, Shush, and Kermanshah.

In Sanandaj, citizens have continued a series of nightly gatherings, marking 189 consecutive nights of public assemblies focused on national unity and support for the Islamic Republic.

Regarding education, officials in North Khorasan reported preparations for the new school year, noting the addition of 247 classrooms and the signing of agreements for solar power plants in schools. In Kerman, the Director General of Education emphasized that mandatory fees during school enrollment are prohibited and warned of disciplinary action against violating administrators. Meanwhile, in Kermanshah, religious leaders emphasized the importance of teaching legal rights to students in schools to prevent future social and judicial conflicts.
