Iran seizes assets of nearly 400 individuals accused of being enemies of the state

The Iranian judiciary has launched a widespread campaign to seize the assets of individuals accused of being enemies of the state. According to the Tehran Prosecutor's Office, reported by the Tasnim news agency, authorities have seized 2,191 bank accounts and 39 vehicles belonging to nearly 400 people.

The judiciary claims those targeted collaborated with foreign enemies and counter-revolutionary forces. The crackdown reportedly affects activists, government critics, and media professionals who work for exiled news outlets, including organizations such as Iran International and Manoto.

This escalation follows previous actions where 143 properties were seized from government opponents. Additionally, Iranian media recently announced the launch of 'Alaj' (Healing), a new online surveillance system designed to allow citizens to report critics living abroad to the authorities.
