Iran stock market sees retail liquidity surge near 8 million index

The Iranian stock market experienced a significant influx of retail liquidity, with over 600 symbols entering buying queues. This surge in retail capital, totaling approximately 9 trillion tomans, occurred as the total market index approached the 8 million mark.

While retail trading value in the stock and over-the-counter (OTC) markets was roughly one-third lower than the previous day, the influx of new retail money supported the market. Metal industries led the capital inflow with over 1.6 trillion tomans, followed by banking, investment, pharmaceutical, mining, chemical, automotive, and food sectors. Gold funds also saw notable interest, recording the second-highest inflow of 1.6 trillion tomans from retail investors.
