Tehran Stock Exchange index rises to 6.6 million level

The Tehran Stock Exchange experienced a significant upward trend on Saturday, September 5 (14 Shahrivar), with the main index rising by approximately 97,000 units to reach the 6,601,000 level. This growth was supported by broad participation across various symbols, not just major ones, and a rise in the equal-weighted index above 1.8 million. The 'Famli' symbol was a primary driver of this increase, while 'Webmelt' recorded the highest transaction volume despite a price drop.

Retail liquidity inflows were notable, with 1,800 billion tomans entering stocks and equity funds. Sector-wise, the highest retail inflows were seen in mining, basic metals, and pharmaceuticals. Conversely, the banking and telecommunications sectors saw significant retail outflows.

In industrial news, Tabriz Petrochemical Company reported a 135% increase in sales for the first five months of the year, reaching 21,657 billion tomans. The company also saw substantial activity in the Commodity Exchange, with transaction values reaching 13,782 billion tomans.

In the digital asset space, the Nobitex exchange added 15 new cryptocurrencies to its trading platforms, covering sectors such as DeFi, Artificial Intelligence, and Real World Assets (RWA).
