Iran warns Bulgaria of retaliation over US military support

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has issued direct warnings to Bulgaria, stating that the country could face retaliation if it continues to facilitate United States military operations. Baghaei specifically criticized the stationing of American refueling aircraft in Bulgaria, describing the move as a mistake and an act of synergy in the ongoing conflict against Iran.

Baghaei asserted that under international law, Iran maintains the right to target the source and origin of any aggression directed at its sovereignty. He warned that nations have no reason to fear the Islamic Republic unless they provide their territory or infrastructure to the United States for military use.

Additionally, Baghaei dismissed reports regarding the continued openness of the Strait of Hormuz for oil transit as propaganda warfare. He also denied rumors that Iran has received an invitation to join the Mecca Defense Pact.

In a separate diplomatic development, it was announced that Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi is scheduled to visit Tehran to hold discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi regarding bilateral and regional issues.
