Iran warns of painful strikes against US interests if new military operations begin
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command has issued a stern warning to the United States, stating that any new military operations against Iran will be met with continuous and painful strikes against US bases and interests throughout the Middle East. The Iranian military claims to have intelligence indicating that Washington is planning renewed hostilities with the support of several regional countries, following a meeting held in a European nation.
Iran has warned regional states that cooperating with US military aggression will result in them being viewed as accomplices, and they should no longer expect restraint from the Iranian armed forces. This escalation follows reports of intense US Air Force activity in the Persian Gulf and near southern Iran, including aerial refueling operations and reconnaissance flights.
In terms of diplomacy, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bakir Kalibaf stated that Tehran has communicated its terms for ending the conflict and reopening the Strait of Hormuz through mediators. These terms, which reportedly include the unfreezing of Iranian assets and the lifting of maritime blockades, are based on a 14-point agreement from June. However, Kalibaf emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed unless the US fulfills its previous commitments. Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezaei, head of the Supreme National Security Council, asserted that controlling the Strait of Hormuz is a strategic priority more significant than possessing atomic weapons.
