Iran warns of offensive military shift and potential targets in Europe

Iran has signaled a shift in its military posture, moving from a defensive to an offensive doctrine. Iranian officials have warned that the country will respond immediately to any aggression and may expand the scope of military responses beyond the Middle East.

Following the Bulgarian Parliament's decision to allow the United States temporary use of the Bezmer air base for refueling aircraft and deploying up to 250 soldiers, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned Bulgaria that providing territory or infrastructure to facilitate US attacks against Iran would carry consequences. Iranian military officials have stated that any base used to conduct operations against Iran would become a legitimate target.

Reports indicate that Tehran has been replenishing its missile arsenals and restoring its chain of command, with several launch sites becoming operational. Iranian officials have suggested that the United States may have a few weeks to revoke certain naval blockades before Iran moves toward an offensive stance. The potential for conflict extends to strategic areas in the Balkan Peninsula and the Strait of Hormuz.
