Iran Warns of Retaliation Over US‑Israel Plans to Bomb Gulf Energy Sites

Iran's state news agency Fars released a list of key energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Israel that it says could be targeted if the United States launches another attack on Tehran. The list includes Saudi oil fields Ghawar, the Abqaiq and Khurais refineries, the UAE's Ruwais refinery and Zakum offshore field, Qatar's North Field gas reserves and LNG terminal, Kuwait's Burgan oil field, Bahrain's Sitra refinery and Ma'ameer plant, and Israel's Leviathan and Tamar gas fields.

Iranian officials also announced a comprehensive retaliation plan that would strike Israeli infrastructure and U.S. energy interests in the region should a U.S.–Israel strike occur. Meanwhile, U.S. and Israeli forces are reported to be preparing a large‑scale bombing campaign against Iran's own energy infrastructure, and U.S. embassies in the Middle East have warned American citizens to consider leaving the region amid the heightened risk of escalation.
