Iran warns of targeting attack sources if bases are used by US and Israel

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bekayi has stated that Iran reserves the right to target the source and origin of any aggression against its territory. This warning follows reports of US KC-135 tanker aircraft departing from Bulgaria, which Iran views as support for military aggression by the US and Israel.

Bekayi emphasized that while Iran has no issues with the Bulgarian people, countries providing bases, facilities, or equipment for use in attacks against Iran may face consequences. He characterized US economic sanctions as ‘economic terrorism’ and described the US maritime blockade as an act of aggression.

Regarding regional security, Bekayi dismissed US claims concerning the Strait of Hormuz as ‘psychological and media warfare,’ asserting that the strait remains open. He maintained that Iran will not succumb to the terms of aggressors or extreme demands, vowing to use all multilateral capacities to resist economic pressures.
