Iran warns of wide‑scale retaliation against US and Israel as cyber attacks spark US suspicion

Iranian officials have escalated threats toward the United States and Israel, stating that any American strike would trigger an immediate and expansive response. Spokesperson Ibrahim Rezaei said, “The response to a possible enemy attack will not be limited to the Persian Gulf. We will strike all enemy bases and the source of the attacks from anywhere.” Former negotiator Mohammad Marandi added, “If Trump attacks tonight, Iran’s decisive response will begin immediately.”

At the same time, U.S. intelligence agencies suspect Iran of behind a broad cyber‑attack on critical infrastructure, affecting water‑treatment systems in at least seven states. While the attacks have not compromised water quality, they forced manual operations at several facilities.
