Iran warns US attacks could widen war amid rising casualties and strikes on US bases in Kuwait

Iranian armed forces spokesman Muhammed Ekreminiya warned that continued U.S. attacks would cause the conflict to spread to new regions and emphasized that Iran's full military capabilities have not yet been displayed. He linked the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to U.S. compliance with a June 14‑point agreement and reiterated that Iran has no intention of fighting its neighbours.

Since July 7, U.S. strikes on Iranian territory have killed 38 people and injured more than 400, targeting civilian infrastructure such as bridges, a railway line, and a sea‑traffic control tower across several provinces. In retaliation, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps said it bombed U.S. radar systems, missile launchers and weapons depots in Kuwait overnight, prompting Kuwait to activate its air‑defence units. Both the United States and Kuwait have not issued official comments on the alleged Iranian attacks.
