Iran weather forecast predicts snow, storms, and temperature extremes

The National Center for Forecasting and Management of Weather Hazards has issued a weather outlook for various regions in Iran, predicting a mix of precipitation, wind, and temperature extremes.

Snow and rain are expected in parts of northern, northeastern, and mountainous regions. Specifically, snowfall is forecasted for Mazandaran, Golestan, and the Alborz mountains through Thursday. Thunderstorms and rain are also anticipated in the northwest, including West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, and Ardabil provinces.

In addition to precipitation, several areas are expected to experience strong winds and dust storms, particularly in the eastern corridors and the southern slopes of the Alborz mountains. Southern provinces, including Kerman, Sistan and Baluchestan, and parts of Hormozgan, may see afternoon showers and wind.

Temperature variations remain significant across the country. Ahvaz is expected to be the warmest with temperatures reaching 44 degrees Celsius, while Shahrekord is projected to be the coldest, with temperatures dropping as low as 4 degrees Celsius.
