Iran weather forecast predicts autumn rain and dust storms
The Iran Meteorological Organization has issued forecasts indicating widespread autumn rainfall is expected to begin in the second week of the month of Mehr. While temperatures in various regions are expected to remain normal to slightly above normal in the coming weeks, significant precipitation is anticipated in the northwest, west, and northern Zagros regions during the autumn period.
In the immediate term, weather patterns show instability in the northwest, including West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Kurdistan, and Zanjan, with potential thunderstorms and sudden rain in mountainous areas. Conversely, eastern and southeastern Iran are expected to experience dry conditions with increased wind speeds, potentially leading to dust storms and reduced air quality in South Khorasan, northern Sistan and Baluchestan, and parts of Kerman.
Additionally, the Caspian Sea may experience unsuitable conditions for swimming and maritime activities due to incoming rain waves. Experts advise that despite the expected rainfall, water consumption should not increase due to ongoing water resource challenges.
