Iran weather warning issued for rain and wind across 25 provinces
The Iran Meteorological Organization has issued a yellow-level weather warning for multiple provinces across Iran, forecasting rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds from Thursday through Sunday.
Starting Thursday, precipitation and wind are expected in provinces including East and West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Markazi, Hamadan, Zanjan, Tehran, Alborz, Qazvin, Lorestan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Semnan, western Isfahan, southern Kerman, Sistan and Baluchestan, and the highlands of Hormozgan. The weather system is expected to persist through Sunday, affecting various regions including North Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, and Fars.
Authorities have advised citizens to avoid staying near riverbanks and flood-prone areas. Travelers are urged to exercise caution on roads. Additionally, recommendations include following safety protocols during agricultural and recreational activities, and avoiding parking vehicles near trees, temporary structures, billboards, or greenhouses during periods of high winds.
