Iranian Courts Issue Sentences in Separate Husband‑Killing Murder Cases

A Tehran court sentenced a woman to death after she conspired with a man named Setar to hire him for 200 million tomans to murder her husband in a park. The hired killer was arrested, and the court also sentenced the woman to ten years in prison.

In a different case, a husband was fatally shot during a robbery in Tehran. The perpetrators remain at large, and the victim’s family has petitioned the court for diyah compensation from the state treasury while awaiting the identification and prosecution of the killers.
