Iranian officials report on healthcare management and political stability

Iranian officials have provided updates on government performance and the management of regional crises. Mohammad Reza Zafarkandi, the Minister of Health, reported that the Ministry has focused on two primary missions: advancing government development goals and managing extraordinary challenges caused by regional conflicts and wars.

Zafarkandi noted that the health system had to respond to various crises, including the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, incidents in Lebanon, and the displacement of approximately 8 to 10 million people from Tehran to other cities. He stated that medical universities were required to increase readiness and supply essential items such as serum, blood, and medical equipment to meet the shifting needs of displaced populations in destination cities.

Separately, First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref discussed the historical challenges faced by the Islamic Republic. He addressed the shift in enemy strategies from direct confrontation and proxy wars to attempts at social destabilization. Aref also touched upon domestic policy matters, including the reform of the voucher system and the government's stance on maritime blockades.
