Iranian Parliament Speaker Qalibaf declares end of unilateral agreements amid US-Iran strikes

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that the "era of unilateral agreements has ended," warning the United States to honor its commitments or face consequences. He posted on X, "We have told you: fulfill your promises and obligations, otherwise you will pay the price. Now you must face reality."

The statement comes as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and army launched missile and drone attacks on U.S. facilities in the Gulf, while the U.S. Central Command reported striking about 140 Iranian military targets from land, sea, air and maritime assets. Iran has also closed the Strait of Hormuz, citing attempts by several ships to transit without Iranian permission. Tehran says the U.S. attacks on Iranian southern coasts are retaliation for the closure of the strait and that continued aggression will elicit a harsher response.
