Iran’s Daily Natural Gas Output Falls 230 Million Cubic Metres After US‑Israel Attacks

Iran’s government announced that attacks attributed to the United States and Israel have destroyed key energy infrastructure, cutting daily natural‑gas production by about 230 million cubic metres. The loss is expected to curtail electricity generation, reduce supplies to refineries and industrial plants, and trigger shortages in both domestic and export markets.

Officials, including government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani, urged citizens to conserve energy and confirmed that fuel prices will remain unchanged despite the disruption. The government has activated contingency plans, mobilised special task forces and pledged support to affected enterprises while reinforcing armed forces.

The strikes have also caused civilian casualties and damage to transport facilities, further deepening the humanitarian and economic crisis.
