Iran's Education Minister announces in-person school reopening

Iran’s Minister of Education, Alireza Kazemi, has announced that the upcoming school year will begin with 100 percent readiness for in-person classes starting on October 1 (1 Mehr).

During visits to provinces including Zanjan and Gilan, Kazemi highlighted significant investments in educational infrastructure. He stated that approximately 2,300 projects, encompassing roughly 13,000 classrooms, are being prepared for use nationwide. These initiatives include the standardization and smartening of educational spaces, as well as the development of sports and extracurricular facilities.

In Zanjan, the Minister noted the opening of over 6,000 square meters of educational and sports space, including student swimming pools. Kazemi emphasized that the primary goals of these improvements are to support teachers and enhance educational quality while strengthening the national and religious identity of students.
