Iran's Interior Minister Arrives in New Delhi for BRICS Security Meeting

Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni landed at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday to attend the BRICS Ministers of Internal Affairs gathering. The meeting, hosted by India’s Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Disaster Management Authority, focuses on disaster risk reduction and cooperation in internal security, counter‑terrorism, organised crime, law enforcement and border management.

Momeni will also hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from other BRICS members, underscoring Iran’s commitment to multilateral security collaboration under the bloc’s 2026 chairmanship theme of "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability."
