Iran's IRGC says US troops killed in Syria strike, warns UK bases and royal family
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that a number of U.S. soldiers were killed after it struck a compound housing American forces in the Rukban area near the al‑Tanf base in southeastern Syria. The IRGC said the base, which supports surveillance, intelligence and special‑operations activities, is a vulnerable node in the U.S. Central Command network.
In a separate statement, the IRGC warned that British military installations are legitimate targets following a U.S. B‑1 bomber mission launched from RAF Fairford in the United Kingdom that struck Iranian targets. The IRGC also issued a direct warning to the British royal family, accusing it of contributing to regional instability. Both statements reflect heightened Iranian rhetoric toward Western forces in the region.
