Iran attacks US bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a coordinated wave of missile and drone strikes against U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. In Bahrain the IRGC said it hit radar stations, a Patriot air‑defence battery and drone‑maintenance hangars at Al‑Sakhir Air Base and Salman Port. In Kuwait the group targeted the Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem bases, striking HIMARS rocket launchers, radar installations and a drone‑hangar, while the Kuwaiti air‑defence system intercepted several projectiles. In Jordan the IRGC claimed to have used “accurate intelligence” from local sources to hit U.S. C‑17 transport aircraft, P‑8 command planes and hangars at Al‑Azraq and Aqaba Airport, reporting heavy damage.

The attacks came as the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) continued its tenth consecutive night of strikes on Iranian targets, aiming to degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. The ongoing exchange has caused U.S. casualties – at least four service members killed and several injured – and prompted regional alerts, with Kuwait activating its air‑defence systems and Bahrain condemning attacks on civilian infrastructure. Iran also reported striking two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, further heightening tensions over a vital global energy chokepoint.
