Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf Condemns US and Israel, Calls for War Readiness
Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf publicly condemned recent United States attacks and Israeli violations in Lebanon, saying the actions threatened regional stability. He framed a recent memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States as a political and military setback for Washington and Israel, claiming it unintentionally recognized Iran’s “resistance front.”
Ghalibaf stressed that Iran must remain fully prepared for war, warning that any perception of weakness could prompt further aggression. He called for greater unity among Islamic countries, arguing that security and prosperity depend on closer cooperation against external pressure. The remarks came amid ongoing fighting in the 2026 Lebanon war and heightened tensions between Tehran, Washington, and Jerusalem.
