Iran's Pezeshkian engages diaspora and criticizes U.S. economic pressure

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has initiated efforts to engage with members of the Iranian diaspora, including prominent political and cultural figures living abroad. Culture Minister Abbas Salehi noted that lists containing over one hundred Iranians residing abroad have been provided to relevant bodies regarding their potential return. The initiative includes figures such as Ataollah Mohajerani, Abdolkarim Soroush, and Mohsen Kadivar, whose stances in defense of Iran during recent conflicts were highlighted despite existing disagreements with the government.

Separately, President Pezeshkian addressed international tensions, accusing the United States of attempting to force Iran into submission through economic and livelihood pressures rather than military action. He stated that the U.S. is targeting infrastructure and basic necessities like food and water to pressure the population, asserting that the Iranian people will not surrender to such tactics.
