Iran President Pezeshkian signals readiness for U.S. negotiations FAST-MOVING
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has signaled a willingness to engage in diplomacy with the United States to end the ongoing conflict. In several interviews, including an appearance on Fox News, Pezeshkian stated that Iran does not seek war and that the responsibility for ending hostilities lies with Washington.
Pezeshkian offered several concessions to facilitate a deal, including a willingness to reduce uranium enrichment levels and submit Iran's nuclear program to international inspections and verification. Tehran has indicated that a potential agreement could involve the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions and the release of frozen assets.
Additionally, Pezeshkian addressed questions regarding the health and whereabouts of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, asserting that the leader is completely healthy and has been providing direction to the administration. He noted that his last in-person meeting with Khamenei occurred approximately one month ago.
