Iran's President Pezeshkian emphasizes technological investment to reduce oil dependency

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized the importance of enhancing domestic scientific and technological capabilities to reduce the nation's reliance on oil and gas. Speaking at the 46th anniversary of Jihad-e-Daneshgahi (Academic Jihad), a non-profit organization focused on defense, industrial self-reliance, and food security, Pezeshkian stated that investing in new technologies and supporting young talent is essential for Iran's development.

The President noted that building a robust technical infrastructure would allow Iran to achieve greater self-reliance and mitigate the impact of illegal sanctions and external pressures. He also addressed previous attacks on Iranian scientific centers and researchers, attributing such actions to adversaries including the United States and Israel.

Pezeshkian pledged government cooperation with Jihad-e-Daneshgahi's technical projects and invited experts to collaborate with the administration to solve national challenges.
