Iran‑U.S. Clash Threatens Hormuz Strait, Over 200 U.S. Troops Killed

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its forces have destroyed 11 U.S. fighter jets and helicopters and claimed that "over 200 U.S. soldiers have been killed in two weeks" of fighting. Tehran warned it could block the Strait of Hormuz if Washington continues to target Iranian infrastructure.

The conflict has spilled into neighboring states. Iranian drones have struck U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, while Houthi missiles have hit targets in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
